In addition this site contains information and lessons provided by members of the Green Valley Camera Club. Digital Photography Lessons and Tutorials The Green Valley Camera Club offers many courses throughout the year. Here are the handouts for some of these classes and tutorials plus links to other tutorials that can be found on the web.
Photography and the Law -- links to persons who know your rights as a photographer. Or maybe you are just an individual taking snapshots. You have more freedom to take pictures than you might think. With few exceptions if you are in a place open to the public you can take a picture.
Imaging Software To take advantage of your digital images you will likely want to enhance them in your computer. For this you will need to have software that will help you edit your images and software that will help you organize your software. While the Green Valley Camera Club supports Photoshop CS and Photoshop Elements for this purpose there are many other fine products on the market for this purpose.

Cameras and Accessories Information about digital cameras along with where to buy them and where to get reviews of the cameras. From the beginner to the advanced photographer find a camera to fit your needs here.
Photo Printers For the best quality of prints from your digital images you will need a quality photo printer. These are available from a number of manufacturers with prices ranging from under $100 to several thousand dollars. Also you can order prints online at reasonable prices.
Scanners For converting from your old prints, slides, or negatives (or new ones) into digital images you will need a scanner. Flatbed scanners are very low cost and can do a very good job with prints and with documents. You can also get film scanners for 35mm film which will convert 35mm slides or negatives. And there are scanners that can do both.
Computers and Accessories -- For those serious about digital photography computers are their most important tool after their camera. What to look for: large hard drives, lots of memory, fast CPU, DVD burner, and an excellent monitor. External hard drives are very useful as well as a memory card reader.
Matting and Framing To hang your pictures on the wall you will need to get mats, and frames. If you are really serious you might want your own mat cutters. And you will need to buy mat board and foam core backing. Check here for some online sources. Putting your photograph in a frame for exhibit completes your photographic experience.
