Studio Workshop Wanderings
The
weather is heating up. The snow-birds are leaving town.
Things around the camera club are slowing down. So all things
good are coming to an end -- at least until the fall. This
Thursday will mark the end of the Thursday workshops for now. We
have had a good time this spring and hopefully learned things that will
help our photography. The Friday B&W workshop will come to an
end on the 27th of April. Almost all of those who have been
attending will be gone for the summer. But it will start back up
in October.
Beginning soon Al Crawford will start his summer newsletter. This
newsletter will be available for any who request it be sent. It
will also be available on Al's website. Al will send information
on photography and Photoshop as he runs across it. He will also
write some new tutorials. Just for fun he plans a series on all
the different ways you can darken the corners of an image. And he
may also include a series on all the ways to convert to black and
white. And a couple of tutorials on CS3 will be included.
To get on Al's e-mail list drop him an e-mail at Newsletter@CrawfordEnterprise.com.
A number of you have already requested Al's newsletter. He will
be sending out an e-mail on April 10th for those on the list to test
the e-mail addresses. If you do not receive the e-mail you are
not on his list.
Green Valley Photographic Information
-- A new cover for Al Crawford's Website of Photography
Resources. This will include links to Al's handouts as well as
other information that is included in this newsletter. You may
get there directly by clicking on the link that begins this paragraph
or by clicking on the Photography Resources link on the Green Valley
Camera Club front page.

"Want to print
something different and exciting?"
presented by Howard Benedict
Our Camera Club has two printers that can print Panoramas
up to 44 inches long. The results will put you in the WOW category with all
your friends or on the walls of your home.
Howard Benedict will teach you all you need to know from
the necessary camera techniques to the final print. The results are amazing,
but there are a lot of special settings that you must make so that you can print
stunning panoramas. He will also provide glossy heavyweight 36 to 44 inch
continuous paper.
There’s a lot to learn, but it can create a
summer of fun.

"Pictures of Common Things" a continued discussion lead by Nancy Spear
This week we look at photographing things from the kitchen or
the garage or the bathroom or the bedroom or whereever. Turn
ordinary things into great photos. As you photograph this week,
think about the
ordinary. Bring
your successes and past failures to class for us all to talk
about.
Wraping it up
To all members of the Green Valley Camera Club.
Have a great summer. Stay healthy
and enjoy yourselves. Take lots of pictures -- remember that in
the digital age film is free. And bring yourselves back and share
with us your summer's great photographs.
