  1. Equipment List

    1. Canon 30D with 17-85mm lens and memory card

    2. Canon 20D with 75-300 lens and memory card

    3. 10-22mm lens

    4. 3 spare batteries

    5. 4 spare memory cards

  2. Shooting

    1. Take plenty of images

  3. End of Day

    1. Load images into laptop

    2. Folder: Digital Photos\2007 Photos\2007 Winter\02-15 Madera Canyon

    3. Batch rename photos using Adobe Bridge

    4. Copy images onto Epson P4000 (80 Gb)

    5. Reformat memory card in camera(s)

    6. View slide show of images using Bridge

    7. Choose up to four images for editing

    8. Edit images for printing. Do not resize.

    9. Save images

      1. Full edited version in TIFF format. Use Best Photos folder.

      2. Smaller version (1600x1200 pixels) for wallpaper

      3. Even smaller version (550 pixels high) for e-mail and screen saver

    10. Choose up to four images for including in picture package (family & snapshots)

  4. When getting home

    1. Transfer camera images to two external hard drives (300 Gb & 750 Gb)

    2. Transfer edited images to two external hard drives.

    3. Note: At this point the older images on the laptop and P4000 might be deleted.

    4. Print edited versions in 8.5x11 for inclusion in album.

    5. Choose and print 13x19 versions for exhibit.
