Photoshop Elements 3
Creating a Photomerge
Getting Started
- Open the file
“Project 8 General Grant Bottom.jpg”
- Open the file
“Project 8 General Grant Top.jpg”
Creating a Photomerge
- From the main
menu select “File – New – Photomerge Panorama”,
- In the window
that comes up you should have both of the above files listed. If so, select OK.
- The two parts
of the General Grant tree will be placed together in a preview. If so, check the box “Advanced Blending”
then click OK.
- After
Photoshop Elements finishes the photo you can correct the image by
rotating left – “Image – Rotate – 90o Left”
- Since the two
parts were not precisely aligned you should crop the resulting photo using
the Crop Tool.
Create a Second Photomerge
- Close all
photo files.
- Open the
files “Project 8 Redwood Bottom” and “Project 8 Redwood Top”
- From the main
menu select “File – New – Photomerge Panorama”.
- Again, the
names of the files will be listed and you select OK.
- This time
Photomerge could not automatically arrange the images. Click OK on the dialog box.
- Drag one of
the images from the top row into the main screen.
- Drag the
second image into the main screen placing it over the first image so that
it matches as close as you can make it.
When you release the mouse button the two images should snap
together.
- Click on
“Perspective” and check “Advanced Blending” then click OK.
- Finish by
rotating and cropping.
